Things that run black:

• the canal
• the air around the cargo trucks constantly streaming from a nearby construction site
• my snot

shit, these cities are dirty.  it hasn’t rained for about 40 hours, so I guess all of the coal, automobile and cigarette smoke has just stayed suspended in the Kunming air. at least we can see blue sky here.  that would have been a reason to celebrate back in Beijing.
